CrossFit Launches Affiliate Partner Network, Another Earning Opportunity for HQ and Affiliates
CrossFit Home Office announced on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, the launch of another new opportunity for CrossFit Affiliates: the CrossFit Affiliate Partner Network (APN). The program will allow affiliates to reap the benefits of saving money through discounts from a variety of brands.
The details: The APN is an online purchasing hub where CrossFit affiliates can get consolidated access to certain brands. This includes brand discounts, member acquisition programs and even revenue-generating potential.
There are 20 initial partners participating in the beta launch, all CrossFit community brands.
The brands make up services that range from cleaning supplies, apparel, beverages, operating software and accounting services.
Those that have already signed on include Airrosti, Beyond the Whiteboard, Big Ass Fans, Crossover Symmetry, FITAID, GoodEarth Distribution, Hydrant, O2, Optum, ProTrainings, PushPress, Rogue Fitness, SugarWOD, Thorne, UpLaunch, Whoop, WIT, Xero, and Zen Planner.
This is just the beginning. CrossFit plans to grow the list of brands within the US and abroad based on affiliate feedback and requests.
One big thing: This is potentially another large revenue stream for CrossFit HQ, though it’s unclear at this beta stage what financial figures could look like. Under the new Roza leadership, we continue to see diversifying revenue streams as APN becomes the third major program that will generate cash flow for HQ in just the past four months. This follows the launch of the CrossFit Affiliate Programming (CAP) and CrossFit Precision Care.
How it could help affiliates: In short, hopefully increase profit margins for affiliates selling retail items and reduce the overall expenditures and outlays for their cost of business.
Through the APN, affiliates should be getting the best available market price that they couldn’t otherwise get on their own.
There’s also revenue potential for gyms that implement the APN through member sales.
The APN is included in the annual affiliate fee.
Discounts for affiliates can range anywhere from 20 to more than 50 percent off.
Affiliate owners and coaches can get specific discounts and perks on footwear and apparel brands.
Listening to the community: The launch of the APN wasn’t just something created by the minds of those within CrossFit HQ, rather, it was something the affiliate community specifically asked for.
“Earlier this year, we surveyed affiliates on the best ways CrossFit Home Office could support them and help grow their businesses, and the number one request was this type of group buying service,” said Gary Gaines, CrossFit’s GM of Affiliates and International.
“Working with our launch partners and additional future brands, the CrossFit APN will offer deep discounts on standard gym purchases, while offering tools and opportunities to generate additional revenue through sales to members,” Gaines continued.
The bottom line: CrossFit will make money off of the APN, and so will affiliates, as it’s designed. While there is no current data that can predict how much revenue, there’s potential for it to be significant with more than 13,000 affiliates worldwide. For every sale that an affiliate makes, CrossFit has the potential to make a profit, opening yet another door for HQ to increase cash flow.

The Rogue Invitational prize purse jumped up to $1.45 million and is now awarding $250,836 to the first place finisher. Since mid-August, the individual payout alone has increased $21,768.
Why does it keep increasing? The prize purse is tied to ticket sales as well as the price of bitcoin.

Update on Cassandra Moorad: “Cassandra had her first round of chemo and targeted receptor therapy on October 6th,” wrote Andrea Elrod in a Caring Bridge post.
“The first round of treatment took 6 hours once her port was accessed and medicines started flowing.”
“Her main symptoms have been fatigue and acid reflux. Cass did have several days of bone & joint pain. One day was much worse than the others and soaking in a bath seemed to be the only thing to give her a little relief. “
“Cassandra’s next round of treatment is scheduled for Wednesday, October 27th.”
Let’s Meet the 16 Individual Legends Competing at Rogue
The 2021 Rogue Invitational begins on October 29 in Round Rock, TX, kicking off three days of competition. The main competition and the inaugural strongman contest will both be draws, but there is no denying the excitement level around the Rogue Invitational Legends competition.
One big thing: The Rogue Invitational Legends will pit 16 of the greatest athletes in CrossFit Games history against each other for bragging rights. These heavy hitters have a combined 59 event wins and eight individual championships. Matt Chan also won the second season of “The Titan Games.”

There is no guarantee that all of these Legends will compete in every workout. Froning previously took part in the 2019 Legends competition, but he only took on Amanda.25 as he was competing in the team competition that weekend as well. The four-time champ locked up the win over Dan Bailey and finished ninth while Khalipa won.
Who has the advantage? Froning is a virtual lock if he decides to compete in all the events. He has 16 career individual event wins, double the amount of Bridges, plus he’s still actively competing in team competition, racking up his 9th career Games title this summer.
Swimming wasn’t Froning’s strongest suit during his individual career, but he still proved that he was the most well-rounded athlete on the field. Some examples of his dominance were Midline March in 2014, Cinco 1 and 2 in 2013, and Rope-Clean in 2011.
Bridges has half of the event wins, but he defeated Froning head-to-head multiple times. Two examples of his achievements are the exciting Push Pull in 2014 and Naughty Nancy in 2013.
Spealler and Khalipa are tied for the third-most with six event wins each, and they will both enter the weekend as two top options to win. Khalipa, in particular, won the previous Legends competition in 2019 after racking up 340 points and holding off both Graham Holmberg and Bailey.
Clever and Foucher will enter the Legends competition with a similar number of wins. The 2010 CrossFit Games champion won six events during her individual career while Foucher secured four, as well as a second-place finish in 2012. They will understandably be two of the names to watch.
Voigt, a 10-time competitor as an individual, will be at the top of the list of favorites during the weekend. She won two events during her career, but she performed consistently while locking up three top-10 finishes and a third-place finish in 2011. Voigt has continued to perform as a Masters athlete, locking up three podium finishes.
Wagner does not have any event wins in her CrossFit Games career, but it did not prevent her from achieving a considerable amount. She still won the 2009 CrossFit Games over Charity Vale and Cary Kepler.
The bottom line: While the main Rogue Invitational competition will provide a potential look at the 2022 CrossFit Games season, the battle between Legends gives fans the opportunity to watch their favorite stars from past seasons as they go head-to-head once again, similar to hall of fame exhibitions or semi-retired athletes coming out of the woodwork for a fun event.

The year was 2016, and Karrie and Todd Gibson knew it was time to make a change.
After spending years in the energy drink industry, pounding can after can of Monster Energy and Red Bull, Todd was pre-diabetic, and when the couple went for an inflammation test, their results were “off the charts on certain things,” Todd said.
