CrossFit Inks Multi-Year Deal With Momentous, a New Supplement Partner
CrossFit has made a significant move ahead of the start of Semifinals. HQ has signed a multi-year deal naming Momentous the Official Supplements and Sports Nutrition Partner of CrossFit and the CrossFit Games, a press release today read.
Remind me: Based in Park City, Momentous is a major brand in the athletic field with a focus on improving human performance. Its list of products includes items focused on muscle growth, endurance, joint and bone strength, immune support, gut health, and many other “pain points” that people experience in everyday life.
Momentous has ties to four major American sports leagues, which include the NFL, NBA, and MLB. Momentous also works with key figures in Lacrosse, surfing, skiing, running, cycling, rock climbing, college sports, and CrossFit.
The partnership with the NFL is fitting considering that CEO Jeff Byers, a former center, played in the NFL from 2010 until 2014 while suiting up for multiple teams.

13-Year-Old Trenna Gessell Qualifies for CrossFit Games
On July 4, 2009, “Boom Boom Pow” by the Black Eyed Peas was the number one song in America. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince debuted that month, and swine flu was big news in the United States. On that same day, Trenna Gessell was born.
Now, at 13-years-old, Gessell has qualified for the CrossFit Games, possibly the youngest to ever do so.
As a child, Gessell had done hockey and gymnastics, but was looking for “more” during the early days of COVID and found CrossFit through her mother, who already attended classes. She quickly got into Olympic Weightlifting, since a large group of kids her own age at her gym did it, and hasn’t looked back since.
Todd Meleney Shares His Thoughts on Departure From NOBULL
NOBULL Chief Marketing Officer Todd Meleney has resigned from his position at the company and put out a statement reflecting on the move and what his next steps might be.
Remind me: Morning Chalk Up reported over the weekend that Meleney would be resigning. Meleney was the most public-facing employee of NOBULL and helped the company grow as one of the original team members back in 2013.
“Over the last year, I’ve reflected a lot on what matters most to me and what I want out of the next chapter of my career and life. It became clear to me that it’s time to make changes,” said Meleney, in a statement to Morning Chalk Up.
“While this news may be surprising to some, it didn’t happen overnight. I’m proud of how I got to this moment. I’m grateful for the opportunity I received back then. But I’m ready to focus my energy on all the amazing people and opportunities around me.”
How Ommyx Unscrambles the Chaos and Becomes the “Second Brain for your Health”
We all know that person who is always the first one to hop on the newest gear and gadgets, but still struggles to improve their performance, sleep, stress levels.
Maybe that person is even you?
You’re tracking your macros on one app, your sleep on another, your steps on a third and your workouts on a fourth. So why isn’t it translating to the results you want?
Here’s the thing: You might be tracking everything, but if your data from all your various apps and wearables isn’t working together, your path to improvement can be a challenging one to navigate. Maybe you’re even getting contradictory information because your apps aren’t looking at the big picture.
For better results, when it comes to health and fitness, you need to look at as many aspects of your life as you can to determine what the most impactful changes you can make really are. And often this is far too complex for the human brain, or even a spreadsheet, to compute.
