Mr. and Mrs. Clutch. Sneaky Strategies Pull Toomey, Fraser Ahead (VIDEOS)

During event 6 of the 2020 CrossFit Games, both Tia-Clair Toomey and Mathew Fraser were a step behind hard charging opponents during the first two rounds of Toe-to-Bar/Lunge. But both clutch strategy by both athletes paid off by mere seconds to help the defending champions take two more events wins to start day 2 of competition.
Toe-to-Bar/Lunge
- 30-20-10 reps for time:
- Toes-to-bar
- Kettlebell lunge (yards) (32/24kg)
Women: Watch how Toomey places her kettlebells closer to the rig so she doesn’t have to back track to the bar.

Men: Fraser borrows a little tip from his training partner (Toomey) and does the same thing to fend off a hard charging Ohlsen.
