During event 6 of the 2020 CrossFit Games, both Tia-Clair Toomey and Mathew Fraser were a step behind hard charging opponents during the first two rounds of Toe-to-Bar/Lunge. But both clutch strategy by both athletes paid off by mere seconds to help the defending champions take two more events wins to start day 2 of competition.

Toe-to-Bar/Lunge

  • 30-20-10 reps for time:
  • Toes-to-bar
  • Kettlebell lunge (yards) (32/24kg)

Women: Watch how Toomey places her kettlebells closer to the rig so she doesn’t have to back track to the bar.

  2. Davidsdottir – 3:37.03
  3. Wells – 3:51.05

Men: Fraser borrows a little tip from his training partner (Toomey) and does the same thing to fend off a hard charging Ohlsen.

  2. Ohlsen: 3:11.49
  3. Medeiros: 3:18.51
