Not That Fit: Training Mentality with WOD Science and Sports Psychologist Jonathan Fader

After my convo with Team USA gymnast, Kara Eaker, I’m feeling more balanced but #NotThatFit overall. There’s still one component of fitness to master, but today, I’m going off script and talking about training mentality with Henning Langer, one of the guys behind WOD Science, and Jonathan Fader, a performance psychologist with SportStrata.
I brought in Langer because I was curious which physiological factor explains why we have to throttle back during a workout. Is it our heart rate? Or the lactic threshold? As it turns out, it’s a bit more complicated than that.
