On Saturday, Dave Castro announced there will once again be cuts at the CrossFit Games for individuals this year. At this point, everyone should know that cuts have been a part of the Games for a long time and no one should be surprised to see them. In fact, cuts at the Games were never really a controversial topic until the 2019 season because of the immediacy and severity of them. Thankfully, this year we don’t have anything like that.

The details: All individual male and female athletes will complete two full days of competition (Wednesday and Friday) which will include nine scored events before there are any cuts. Nine events is more than a full competition at almost any other event around the world and should provide athletes with ample opportunity to earn the right to advance.
