“Don’t worry about George. He’s too far ahead of you.”

That’s what Ken Ogden’s long-time coach Matias Rodriguez told him before the final event of the Men’s 65-plus division at the 2021 NOBULL CrossFit Games.

After eight events, George Koch was sitting 50 points ahead of Ogden, while three-time Games champion David Hippensteel and Thomas Ackerman were close on Ogden’s heels.

The truth is, Ogden was used to Koch beating him. Koch had edged him out at both the Masters Fitness Collective in the summer of 2020 and the Legends Masters Comp in early 2021.
