Remember when we all thought Iceland’s Bjorgvin Karl Gudmundsson was going to retire and become an actor? Well, to everyone's dismay it was a joke and not to worry, he’s not going anywhere and intends to stand on the 2023 NOBULL CrossFit Games podium.

“That's the only reason why I'm doing this is because I think I can and I know that I’m talented, but I just need to get everything in order and focus 100 percent on the things that are outside of the gym as well. And I feel like I've been doing a better job this year than I have in the past,” said Gudmundsson, known to most fans as BKG.

BKG, who just turned 30, is one of the most consistent CrossFit Games athletes of all time and the 2023 season will be no different. He has been to the Games nine times since 2014 with his lowest finish since 2014 being ninth place last year.
