The third day of the competition at Copa Sur proved to be a true fitness test for all of South America. Victoria Campos repeated as the Fittest in Copa Sur, while runner-up Alexia Williams can call herself a Games rookie. On the men’s side, Kaique Cerveny and Kalyan Ribeiro de Souza took the coveted tickets to Madison over Games veteran Guilherrme Malheiros.

Test 6

Women: The day started with Test 6, a high-skill gymnastics workout that pushed some women back as they struggled with the wall-facing handstand push-up. It was Delfi Ortuño in Heat 2 that set the time to beat at 13:25. Her score would remain as the fourth best of the day.

The test win went to Emily Andrade, a local athlete. She crossed the finish line at 11:10, almost a minute faster than the second place, Luiza Marques.

Men: The men’s division provided a spectacle from the beginning of the test. In Heat 2, Brayan Stiven Fajardo stopped the clock at 11:02 and added drama to the final heats, as points were on the line.
