“A High-Performing Ferrari You Can Drive Every Day” — Reebok Launches Nano Pro in the United States

“Let’s get this shoe banned.”
That’s what was written on the whiteboard at Reebok as the company was designing its newest training shoe, the Nano Pro.
- “It would be awesome if it was thrown out of the CrossFit Games because it was helping too much,” Tal Short, Product Director at Reebok, said.
The three-year process of building the Nano Pro was longer than any other shoe in the line, because Short said the Reebok team was obsessed with one goal: “Refine it and make it amazing.”
The result: “It’s like a high-performing Ferrari that you can drive every day,” Short said.
- The Nano Pro is now available in the United States, although it was released globally earlier this year.
The Details
The $225 pricetag for the Nano Pro is a new high for the line, primarily because the shoe is built with the highest quality materials. This cutting-edge design is highlighted by a lightweight, flexible plate to improve propulsion and stability.
- “When you need it to be firm, it’s firm, but it also bends when you need it to bend,” Short explained.
The Nano Pro also uses the most expensive foam on the market today, a material that is both highly responsive and durable. And if you’re the type who has been flocking from CrossFit to HYROX training recently, Short assures that these new shoes are more than capable of keeping up.
The Big Picture
The Nano Pro is the highest quality, most durable Nano yet, and Short doesn’t think the CrossFit community will be disappointed.
- “Just being around the CrossFit community, we know they’re always looking for that edge. They respect quality, and you can see that by their lifestyles,” Short said.
He added, “And we’re going to learn from this and apply it to the future Nanos. This is our prototype shoe for the future.”
