Reebok Drops New Nano X5 Edge This December
Reebok is expanding its Nano franchise with the launch of the Nano X5 Edge Training Shoes in early December.
- The new shoe is the latest addition to the Nano line, which has been synonymous with CrossFit for over 10 years. The Nano X5 Edge will be available online starting December 5.
Reebok’s Nano franchise celebrated its 15th anniversary last year with the Nano X5. Reebok served as the title sponsor of the CrossFit Games from 2011 to 2020.
What’s New?
The training shoe features several upgrades, including a new FLEXWEAVE upper and a DUALRESPONSE midsole for improved stability and control during movement. The Nano X5 Edge keeps the Nano’s signature look but is updated for greater comfort and durability.
- The shoe also features a decoupled metasplit outsole and a performance comfort collar.
- The drop and weight are 7mm and 11.8 oz, respectively.
Tal Short, product director at Reebok, says he’s most excited for people to see the unique character of the new Nano X5 Edge.
- “In a category where everything is beginning to blur together, we set out to create something unmistakably bold – an expression meant to push training footwear into its next era,” Short told Morning Chalk Up in an interview.
Notable CrossFit athletes featured in the campaign include Christian Harris and Fee Saghafi, along with pro hockey player Tom Wilson and racecar driver Pierre Gasly.
The shoes are priced starting at $150 and will come in a variety of colorways.
