Remind Me

Founded by CrossFit enthusiast and former owner of Blitz CrossFit in the UK, Ben Massey, R.A.D®, made its debut when the shoes went to market at the 2022 Wodapalooza in Miami, FL.

  • R.A.D®’s momentum grew rapidly, driven by seven-time CrossFit Games athlete Danielle Brandon embracing the brand and becoming the company’s first sponsored athlete.

Since 2022, R.A.D® has added other well-known CrossFit athletes to its roster – including Justin Medeiros, Noah Ohlsen, and Trista Smith – and has also expanded into the skateboarding community and, more recently, into HYROX.

What They’re Saying

In a press release, Massey and Rogue founder Caity Henniger expressed their excitement about the collaboration.

  • “Partnering with R.A.D® made perfect sense: They share our vision of delivering top-quality training tools. I know our communities will be really excited to see this come together,” said Henniger.

Massey added: “We’re excited to start our partnership with such an iconic brand as we continue to help people train hard and perform at their best.”

The Big Picture

From major brands like Reebok, Adidas, and TYR to smaller ones like Velites, Born Primitive, Inov-8, NOBULL, and R.A.D®, the training shoe market has become highly competitive within the CrossFit community in recent years.

In light of this, R.A.D®’s partnership with Rogue has to be seen as a strategic move to set itself apart in a market where competition seems to stiffen each year.
