Torian Pro Programs Event Three, Hann, in Memory of Domestic Abuse Victim

As athletes take the competition floor at the Torian Pro today, event three will have more significance than just who comes in first. The workout “Hann,” will be in memory of Hannah Clarke.
A regular at the Torian Pro, 31-year-old Hannah and her three children were tragically killed in a case of domestic violence on February 19, 2020. The Torian Pro said on their Instagram account “this year we will celebrate Hann, her strength, and everything she represents.”

The movements in Hann reflect CrossFit skills Hannah liked. The rep schemes represent her children’s ages.
- Handstand walks and lunges were her favorite movements.
- The number of rope climbs represents her kids who also passed. Aaliya was 6, Laianah was 4, and Trey was 3.
Dave Kramer, the creator of the original Hann workout which involves handstand walks, walking lunges and ring muscle-ups, spoke about how he wants Hannah to be remembered.
- “Most importantly, I want people to remember you for being the incredibly strong woman that you are. You said yourself, you are not a victim.”
- “You were the smile others needed, even when your day sucked more than anyone. You were the encouragement someone needed in a workout, even when you were struggling the most. You were the kindness someone needed, even when you wanted to scream your pain from the inside out.”
- “You were the strength everyone needed, even when you felt you had nothing left to give. You are the strongest woman I have ever known and that’s how you will be remembered.”
Torian Pro is also encouraging people to wear pink today to help show support for Hann. Small Steps 4 Hannah, a charity to help stop the cycle of domestic violence, will be at the event to raise awareness and funds.
