Lucky Number Seven for Feeroozeh Saghafi

The number seven hasn’t proven lucky for Brute Strength Athlete Fee Saghafi, but that all could change as this year 7th is in a qualifying spot to head to the Games. North America East Semifinals qualifies 11 women and with Saghafi currently sitting in 7th, her spot is likely secure.
Remind me: Finishing in 7th at the 2022 Granite Games allowed her to take place in the Last Chance Qualifier, where she finished 7th there as well, thus failing to qualify for the Games. It was a flashback to the previous year, when in 2021 she took 7th at the Mid Atlantic Crossfit Challenge, which allowed her entry into the Last Chance Qualifier where she finished in none other than 7th place.
In the midst of defeat, she has always remained focused and grateful for her fellow Brute Strength athletes and all she has accomplished. Earlier this year, she reflected on the 2023 Open as she prepared for the upcoming season.
- “This 2023 CrossFit Games Open taught me that I am exactly where I need to be. Progress is definitely happening, strength is improving, engine keeps building… BUT we still have some much work to keep doing.”
The 7th test today will determine her ultimate place on the leaderboard, but with a 7th place finish this time around, she will be on her way to Madison.
