The entire Internet goes crazy, naturally.

Meet Krystal Gordon, a 31-year-old mom of one from Kensington, Australia, who recently posted a nude photo of herself after the Internet reacted negatively to her bikini photo.

Riddled with insecurities about her body from an overweight childhood, Krystal had never worn a bikini in her entire life. But that all changed after she joined Ariston CrossFit. She set herself a goal of buying her first bikini and posting a photo wearing it to hold herself accountable and “to fuel [her] fire.”

“Omg, I just bought a bikini!!! What the heck?…Loving thy self baby. Embracing it all. Being proud of my progress. Accepting me for who I am right now even if it isn’t where I want to be. Now don’t get me wrong, sharing this isn’t easy by any means – every bit of me is going ‘holy shit Krystal, what are you doing!?’. But if I can happily accept and celebrate everyone else’s body I sure as hell deserve the same love from myself ;)”

Well the Internet didn’t like that very much. She started getting all sorts of nasty comments and hate mail to her personal Facebook account.

“I thought I would receive some negative feedback but wasn’t expecting the malicious nature that some of those comments contained, it hits really deep,” she told the Daily Mail.

Instead of letting those negative comments distract her from her goal, she doubled down and bared it all for the world to see.

“…I ventured to this beautiful location and got naked… Yep, totally starkers – rolls, cellulite, stretchmarks the lot! The woman that hadn’t even worn a bikini 7 months ago! And something happened, something changed. A whole new level of acceptance and feminine celebration started. I am an empowered woman. I am beautiful. I don’t need to fit a certain criteria, or even be told by someone else to believe it, I just am!”
