The teenage divisions returned to Madison during the 2021 NOBULL CrossFit Games after a year's absence due to COVID-19. Four athletes stood atop the podium at the end of the competition, including Olivia Kerstetter, Emma Lawson, Nate Ackermann, and Ty Jenkins. Now these athletes stand together as Young Guns with the opportunity to make a name for themselves in the adult divisions as soon as next season.

Why this matters: Not all of the teenage athletes continue competing after reaching adulthood, but there are several that have successfully made the transition to the men’s and women’s divisions. Rookie of the Year Mallory O’Brien is the best example after posting two consecutive top-five finishes in 2018 and 2019 (14-15 division).
