Today’s workout is programmed by Rebecca Fuselier. The 22-year old captured the hearts of the CrossFit community during her rookie campaign at the Games a month ago. Her toughness and “don’t quit” competitive drive was best captured during the “Capitol” event where she finished the grueling workout, thanks to the community rallying behind her in what became the Games signature and viral moment. The teen division alum finished 30th in her Games debut highlighted also by her runner-up finish in the “Skill Speed Medley”.

EMOM 24

Minute 1: 200m Run

Minute 2: Power Clean + Squat Clean (increase weight each round)

Minute 3: 17/14 Calorie Row

Minute 4: 6 Toe-to-bars + 5 Chest-to-bars + 4 Bar Muscle-ups

Time Cap: 24 minutes

Scaling Options:

  • Run – choose a distance that you can complete in :45 seconds or less
  • Power Clean + Squat Clean – build to heavy weight each round if possible
  • Row – pick a calorie count that is challenging but you can maintain
  • Gymnastics – choose a rep scheme that allows you to go unbroken. Hanging knee raises + pull-ups + chest-to-bars

Some advice from Rebecca: “This EMOM has a little bit of everything in it and that’s what I love. We are going to hit all the modalities (weightlifting, gymnastics, and monostructural) for quite a few rounds. I love EMOMs because it is you against the clock and you can adjust the reps and the movement variations for where you are at as an individual. Realize you should be left with a little bit of rest/transition time on each station.”
