Before Fee Increase Announcement, CrossFit’s Approval Rating at Nearly 90 Percent Among Affiliates

Five years ago, it seemed the sky might be falling at CrossFit Inc. when nearly its entire media team was laid off, leaving the community at large to question the direction the company was heading.
This was only the start of the uncertainty. A year and a half later, amid the first wave of the pandemic, founder Greg Glassman made an inflammatory Tweet that led to hundreds of affiliates vowing to deaffiliate. This, in turn, led to Glassman’s eventual resignation and accusations of CrossFit fostering a sexist culture.
At the time, it felt like the damage CrossFit had done to itself might be irreversible.
