Good morning and welcome to the Morning Chalk Up. The individuals take the competition floor for moving day at the 2023 Rogue Invitational and we will have you covered for everything and anything you need to know.
ROGUE INVITATIONAL/DAY 3 LAY OF THE LAND
In just a few short hours, the elite men and women of the Rogue Invitational will take the field once again after weather delays impacted yesterday’s events. With the potential for more rain in the forecast on Moving Day, the athletes are scheduled to take on three events. Roman Khrennikov and Laura Horvath sit atop the leaderboard at the moment, but with 300 points up for grabs today, it’s still anyone’s game.
The first event on the docket today is “10th Inning,” an appropriately named test comprised of 10 rounds of four ring muscle-ups, eight handstand push-ups and 12 power snatches. The day will end under the lights with heavy barbells for Event 6: 1-Rep Max Deadlift.
The 2023 Fittest Man on Earth, Jeffrey Adler, talked about his thoughts during the final mile run of Event 1: Texas Heavy:
“I was pretty confident in at least the top three, but I saw a chance to win and I’m gonna try to grab every point that I can.”
One big number: 90 – The number of minutes Event 3: The Circus was delayed, due to severe weather.

One last thing: With three top-five finishes in three events so far (1st, 5th, 2nd), it’s safe to say that Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr’s comeback tour is in full swing. That said, Laura Horvath sits on a five-point lead atop the leaderboard.
