How 2023 is Shaping Up to be a Comeback Season for Griffin Roelle

The 2015 Sandbag event–where athletes wheelbarrowed sandbags from one side of the Tennis Stadium to the other–caught Griffin Roelle’s eye. Fresh out of college, where he played football and was an NFL prospect, he says that he wasn’t yet done being an athlete.
- That iconic event, which he witnessed with his uncle, immediately intrigued him, saying, “it was just so ridiculous, I had to do it!”
From there, he was hooked. Determined to become a CrossFit Games athlete, Roelle has worked tirelessly since then and has been on the brink of punching his ticket to the CrossFit Games for years.
