How Different Semifinals Performed At The 2021 CrossFit Games

This year saw the return of the “regionals style” format where the top finishers in each Semifinal event were invited to compete at the 2021 CrossFit Games. Over the course of two months, hundreds of athletes competed at ten semifinals and in one Last Chance Qualifier for an opportunity to become one of the select few to compete at the CrossFit Games.
By the numbers: Out of the eleven events that qualified athletes for the Games, here’s how athletes from each Semifinal stacked up.
- Looking at the final calculations for the average finish of athletes competing in each Semifinal, those who qualified through the MACC had the highest average overall finish.
- However, the women of the Lowlands Throwdown would take the highest average finish on the ladies side.
- On the men’s side, the Brazilian CrossFit Championship would take the highest average finish (despite only having one man compete).
- Out of the semifinals who sent multiple men to the Games, Atlas Games had the highest overall average finish.
