2023 CrossFit Age Group Quarterfinals Test Descriptions

The 2023 CrossFit Games Age Group Quarterfinal workouts are officially released. Athletes have two 24-hour periods to complete and submit all four tests before competition wraps up on Sunday.

Score submission schedule:

  • The first window will be from Friday, March 31 at 12 p.m. PT until Saturday, April 1 at 12 p.m. PT.
  • The second window will be from: Saturday, April 1 at 12 p.m. PT until Sunday, April 2 at 12 p.m. PT.

Leaderboard Updates: Similar to the the Individual Quarterfinals, the leaderboard will be “blind” until one hour after each submission window closes. The leaderboard will be finalized on or before Friday, April 14, per the 2023 CrossFit Games Rulebook.

Scorecards and Test Descriptions:

Workout 1

All for time:

3 rounds of:

2 x 25-ft (7.62m) dumbbell walking lunge (hang position)
20 toes-to-bar

Immediately followed by:

2 x 25-ft dumbbell walking lunge (rack position)
15 chest-to-bar pull ups

Immediately followed by:

2x 25ft dumbbell walking lunge (overhead position)
10 bar muscle-ups

M: 50lb dumbbells (22.5kg)
F: 35lb dumbbells (15kg)

Time cap: 20 minutes

 

Teenagers 14-15, Masters 55+:

35/20lb dumbbells (15/10kg)

Workout 2A and 2B

Test 2A:

10-minute AMRAP

6 chest-to-wall handstand push-ups
9 GHD sit-ups
12 box jumps (30″/24″ or 76/61cm)

Masters 55+:

M: Strict handstand push-ups to a 2-inch riser, 24-inch box (61cm)
F: Strict handstand push-ups to a 2-inch riser, 20-inch box (51cm)

Test 2B:

Immediately following Test 2A, athletes will have 5 minutes to establish:

1-rep-max clean

Workout 3

For time:

50 shuttle runs

7 15-ft rope climbs (4.57m)

25 bench presses (185/125lb or 83/56kg)

7 rope climbs

50 shuttle runs

Time cap: 30 minutes

 

Masters 55-64:

M: 135lb bench presses (61kg), 12-foot rope climb (3.65m)

W: 95lb bench presses (43kg), 12-foot rope climb (3.65m)

Masters 65+:

M: 115lb bench presses (52kg), 12-foot rope climb (3.65m)

W: 75lb bench presses (34kg), 12-foot rope climb (3.65m)

Teenagers 14-15:

115/75lb or 52/34kg

Teenagers 16-17:

135/95lb or 61/43kg

Workout 4

For time:

27-21-15-9

Row calories

Thrusters (95/65lb or 43/29kg)

Time cap: 15 minutes

 

Teenagers 14-17, Masters 55+:

65/45lb or 29/20kg
