TORIAN PRO
|
|
|
|
WOW. What a finish to competition down in Australia. From narrow margins to new records, Torian Pro was packed with action on its final day.
While the first and second spots were already fairly secured in both the men’s and women’s divisions, the fight for third went down to the wire.
- Bayden Brown’s back-to-back second place finishes, including this sprint to the finish, was enough to move him from 5th to 3rd.
- Ellie Turner was able to fight off a hard-charging Maddie Sturt, who nearly made up the 16 point deficit to overtake Turner. She came up 4 points shy despite coming out of nowhere to beat out Turner in the final event.
- If you want to read more back and forth, check out our live blog.
A few quick highlights:
- A perfect six: Tia-Clair Toomey was absolutely unstoppable, going for a perfect six for six over the weekend, something which has never happened at a Semifinal, and perhaps, also at Regionals.
- Kara Saunders qualifies for her 10th CrossFit Games as an individual, becoming one of only four athletes to ever accomplish that feat.
Who’s heading to the last chance qualifier?
- Men: Royce Dunne, Jake Douglas and Bayley Martin
- Women: Maddie Sturt, Jamie Simmonds, and Bailey Rogers

LOWLANDS THROWDOWN
|
|
|
|
The Lowlands Throwdown is off and running on day three and depending on when you are tuning in, the teams and individuals have probably already taken the floor once today.
For a full schedule and leaderboard, we’ve included quick links to access all the information below.
A few quick highlights from Day 2:
Story of the day: Once again, CrossFit Reykjavik continued to dominate the team leaderboard, and are even staying on par with Mayhem Freedom, who are competing at the Syndicate Crown. This is surely going to make for a tantalizing team finale at the 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games.
Same same: Check out analyst Brian Friend’s recap of day two of Lowlands, however sadly not much changed as Laura Horvath and Lazar Dukic sit atop the individual leaderboards once again.

Day 3 at the Syndicate Crown will start in a few hours and the individual competition is shaping up with Justin Medeiros firmly in the driver’s seat on the men’s side, while newcomer Gabby McClelland holds a slight lead on the women’s end. And, can CrossFit Mayhem Freedom run the table with six event wins? Only time will tell. Here’s a few things that happened on Day 2:
- CrossFit’s newest star: Meet Gabby McClelland, who has rocketed up to the top of the women’s standings. We caught up with her after Day 2 where she spoke about her thoughts on her meteoric rise and where she came from.
- The kids are alright: Where are former teen CrossFit stars Tudor Magda, Cole Greashaber and James Sprague? Well they are all in the top five at the Syndicate Crown and look to head to the 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games.
- Say it ain’t so: The “retired” Scott Panchik has withdrawn from Syndicate Crown, ending a run that was apparently never going to take place in the first place.
- Making moves: Haley Adams, Kristi Eramo O’Connell and Arielle Loewen all made moves on “Moving Day”, how fitting.
